| Delivering Happiness through Design Jason K. Bellaire was born and raised in North Bay, Ontario before moving to Toronto when he was 15. Jason studied Art History in Montreal before moving to Ottawa in 1999. Jason returned to school in 2004 and graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree, Interior Design from Algonquin College in 2008. During his academic journey, Jason apprenticed at two of the top residential design firms in Ottawa from 2005 until December 2008 before pursuing his dream and starting his own practice in early 2009. Jason’s skills as an innovative designer combined with his outgoing personality and strong values system contribute to the success of each project he takes on. He believes design plays an important role in shaping our society and happily predicts a “renaissance” in the near future for the City of Ottawa, led by a commitment to good design and urban planning. Jason takes great pride in infusing each commission with glamorous individuality and strong architectural lines and enjoys a variety of periods from Arts & Crafts to Art Deco, Baroque to Bauhaus, Minimalism to Modernism, just to name a few. Jason feels a great responsibility to his community and as such, has sat on the board of the Hintonburg Community Association and is currently an active member of the Arts Committee. Jason also helped organize and host six arts based shows at various venues across Ottawa in 2009 for an NGO called Little Voice Big Sound and recently helped organize and MC a fundraiser for Haiti at Wall Space Gallery that raised over $5,000 for the Humanitarian Coalition.
